FINALLY I GOT MY PP with Visa Stamp today !!!!
the status changed on the VFS website 'pp delivered' in the morning around 11am.
Here is my case:-
Int for H1B renewal, same company same job, at New Delhi consulate - 14th Jan. VO said "approved, you will get your passport couriered to your home in a couple of days'.
10 days went by and no response. By Feb 1st week, i started calling DOS ..DOS confirmed to have sent the clearance on Jan 25th..
Since then my lawyers and me have been trying to find out the reason for delay from both DOS and embassy.. NO LUCK @@
today on Feb 12th..30 calendar days..i got my pp back. And I am flying back home tonight.
Thanks to everyone who helped me and supported me during this long wait.
In my opinion my case was delayed only for PIMS..but since i had H4, F1, studied at 4 schools, and fairst H1 and this H1B renewal..it took VO good amount of time correlate and work on all this.
I guess mostly delays are for renewals and for people specially with longer history in states. The embassy's are swamped with work and now days a general processing time has been made to 30 days. Infact its also mentioned on their website that most cases are completed withing 30 days..Just FYI..even for PIMS verification, the embassy will report to you as administrative delay.
I hope all this helps to people who are still waiting and who may have long waits in future.

Let us assume that EB2 is going to be current in a year or even sooner than that. Given that situation, and arguing that about 500 people jumped ahead into line over you in to EB2 from EB3, still I do not foresee that their GC's will be approved before the people who are already in line, because
1) as FIFO is not being followed by USCIS, probably they are processing cases based on RD,
2) PD porting is effectively done at the time the second I-140 IS APPROVED. At I-485 stage you can only hope to PD recapture and cross your fingers after sending a no fee letter. This will surely would need additional scrutiny, hence is not a so called 'Low hanging fruit'. Even if an EB3 person wants to start his process right now, it will not be probably before a year and half to two years before he/she is ready to port, and by that time you are past the gate or significantly nearer.
so my point of view is if you look at this thing negatively, you would have a Heartburn and related health issues, but if you are positive and an optimist you would deserve what you get.

This is true. Lingo customer service is bad. Now I am stuck with them for 2 years. Rep was rude. Talked to the supervisor. Even he was rude. Asked him to pass me on to his manager. He refused to directly transfer to his manager.
I am even thinking of paying $100 cancellation fee and get off their service.
I am happy that Vonage came up with a good plan.
I don;t mind paying some bucks more for quality service.

Just my 2 cents... Don't think USA is like India where you can do something forcefully. Why don't you guys understand the real problem of USCIS.
Do you think that by sending flower to USCIS will force them to make EB2/EB3 current for 2005/2006/2007 guys??
Please try to understand their problem.
Also India is the great. Why don't you guys just think that India is your home country where you are born and brought up. Why you people can't just wait and watch?? If nothing happens to the so called GC, then why don't you think to pack up and go back to India???????
My sincere request, please don't do rally, you might be arrested......you never know what they can do..... Don't you think that, it is better to go back to India rather than being embarrassed here in US???

I have an appointment at Kolkata on the 11th. Scheduled to fly back to US on the 26th. Considering Martin Luther king Jr day it will be 9 working days. After seeing the PIMS delays, I am seriously considering return back on AP. Cannot take the risk of delaying the flight as I dont have vacations to hang around and wait for PP.

There is no change in my wife's 485 status. But her EAD is approved. There is no mention of card production in the email. Looks like lot of people got the CPO email directly with post decision activity. Can somebody confirm the sequence in which it happens? How long does it take for the card to arrive? not true AP filing is not denied just because you have a valid H1 visa. The two are completely unrelated. Also if you have a valid H1 visa carrying a 485 receipt notice while a good idea is not required at all since you hold a valid H1 visa.

o India EB-1 and EB-2: It will continue a rapid movement for the next several months.

I have quick question about I-485 filing date. What will be the filing date, the day I mail the packet or the day they receive or the day they acknowledge the receipt.
I am asking this because I cannot file my I-485 before August 15th due to some personal reasons. So suppose I prepare everything beforehand and mail it on August 16th - will that be appropriate filing (assuming the dates remain current in August)?

Are we missing another important information in the calculations here? Taken from the visa bulletin - "2. Section 201 of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) sets an annual minimum family-sponsored preference limit of 226,000. The worldwide level for annual employment-based preference immigrants is at least 140,000. Section 202 prescribes that the per-country limit for preference immigrants is set at 7% of the total annual family-sponsored and employment-based preference limits, i.e., 25,620. The dependent area limit is set at 2%, or 7,320."
For example, in the case of India, there cannot be more than 25620 [7%(226000+140000)] + 7320 [2%(226000+140000)] = 32940 green cards/year (excepting the spill-overs) inclusive of family and employment based categories (and their different quotas).
I guess, unless we get the numbers for family-based applications, similar to EB-485 that has just been released, the conclusions are based on approximations and assumptions, although I wish to point out how much I have learned and appreciate all the analysis here.
Because, if there can only be 32940 green cards for all people (family + employment) from India in a particular year(excepting the spill-overs), the employment-based green cards alone are 1960(EB4) + 1960(EB5) + 8008(EB1) + 8008(EB2) + 8008(EB3) = 27944. Does it mean that there are only 32940-27944=4996 family based green cards for India/year (excepting the spill-overs)? Of course, person on L1 status can work at client site as long as he/she is directly managed by company that has sponsored L1 visa. They can not be directly managed by client. That is the restriction. Have you even read posts in this thread?
